Mini feature: Orkan Lia

I have been thinking about featuring my friend Karolina for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Now the time has come! *Angel choir in the background*.

Karolina Svensson is the founder and owner of Orkan Lia (Linköping, Sweden), a company that sells one of a kind clothes and you can also get spot on clothes on subscription! You simply fill out a form with all the needed measurements and pick which fabric you want and *poof* you get a new piece of clohing once a month! I think this idea is darn brilliant and so does her customers all over Sweden. Most of the fabrics used are recycled, second hand/vintage and/or organic - which is also a great thing.











So, if you fancy colourful one of a kind dresses, tops, skirts, shirts, camisoles, rain coats etc this is the thing for you! (yay!). I did explain all this in a rather simplified way, just ask if there's anything you wonder about.

It's 6:30 am and I just got home. I tagged along when my mom drove to work this morning, that's why the hour is so early. I'll get some work done.. before going to work :P (this is how it is for a lot of people, eh?). This is what I embroidered during the weekend:

Where are the colours when we need it most?

So it's Sunday at my parents', and I have just been talking Lilly for a walk. I've started embroidering text again which feels good, haven't done that for a while. Watching a Touch of Frost whilst doing this, can be risky! I was working on the word 'thought' and realised when I was finished that I hade forgotten an 'h'. Oh well, but such is life :D

One thing that I though about yesterday when I was heading off to work, was why the majority of people dress in such dark and dull colours during the winter, at least here in Sweden. Isn't now that we all need a little colour to cheer ourselves up? I shouldn't talk since I have bright grey jacket.. Anyway! So I though I'd look up some coats and jackets that would cheer us all up. :)

I have just watched a documentary that inspire and moves you in many ways.
It's about helping people in whatever way you can, and give hope to others.
It gives you perspective about your own life and the will to help. My friend/employer gave me this tip and it was a great one indeed.

I recomment this very much, and perhaps you shold keep some handkerchiefs nearby.. just in case you are like me :)

Still adding, and erasing and tinkering with my website. I think I am on to something now though.. I'm planning to finish it today, well 'finish' it sort of anyway.

New Wesite

Now I've changed my (Swedish) website again, and am quite satisfied with the outcome. There is still a lot to do of course, but still. :)
Now it's late (once again) but I have to soak in the bath before going to bed. It's freezing in my flat.. and so am I!

New Year again? Well what do you know

So, it's a new year and we'll all have to see how long it will takes us to write the 9 instead of 8 in 2009.. ( I almost wrote 2008 there..!)

I've had a nice Christmas with my family and now I'm with my beloved one. Thinga are fine! - Beside a bit of a cold for both of us, but we'll cough, sneeze and enjoy just being together anyway. :)

A new year always feels like a new beginning for me, although each day is really a clean slate.. But still, you know. *Background sound: minigun in FallOut3* I have started to write down some thoughts about what I want to do and how I want the year to be. Need to focus more on that - How to get more sales, what new products to make, what products Not to make.. and a lot about what I want to achieve in general. Perhaps I should write down ' think before writing', but that's just silly anyway. You wouldn't recognize this place then and I better not confuse the little audience that happens to pop by now and then (hiya!).
I think I'll go write down some ideas and stuff on paper.. I prefer that. Internet is good and all, but a snail mail letter, a beautiful book to write in and drawing a few things here and there - that's the thing!
